just in time, studio designer gavin haverstick informed us that we should not run audio wires in parallel with electrical. so the audio was run first, all across the room, before the cement floor was poured. most of what is visible in these pics is electrical, with the audio peeking out of the cement here and there. then a layer of insulation was applied, and the radiant heat (hot water flowing through the white tubes, which will be under the flooring) was installed. the whole thing was then encased in “oat milk”, i.e. a mixture of sand and gluey water that was poured around the tubes.
